Recently, in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, North Fayette Township closed the local Community Center on Donaldson Road to ensure that large groups of children and other individuals were not exposed to unnecessary risk of infection from the virus.  During its closure, the township is taking advantage of the opportunity to thoroughly clean and sanitize the facility in anticipation of its reopening in the coming weeks.

On Monday, March 16th, township offices and buildings were restricted from public access until further notice. While our operations will continue, the public is asked to conduct business with the township by telephone, email, fax, or the US Postal Service. Contact information for each of these methods appears below.

Building inspections will continue as usual for newly constructed, unoccupied structures. However, inspection personnel are prohibited from entering private residences and occupied buildings until further notice.

If you have payments to make to the township, you may do so by mailing a check to the township office, paying over the phone using a credit or debit card, or by dropping it in the lockbox in the vestibule of the township building.

Permit applications and plans may be submitted for approval through US Postal Service, email or by drop off at the municipal building. If you choose to drop off permit applications or plans, a self-serve drop-off box is available in the vestibule of the township office. 

Because many residents will be confined to their homes during the COVID-19 outbreak, the township has placed a temporary hold on all water shutoff orders that would otherwise occur when payments are delinquent. However, late fees will continue to accrue.

It is the intent of the Board of Supervisors to continue holding regular meetings. However, even as regular meetings are still being held, the public is encouraged to submit their comments or concerns to management in advance, instead of attending the meeting in person. The township will post continuing updates and meeting agendas online for your convenience. Please submit any general questions or comments regarding agenda items to the Township Manager.

In the event that North Fayette Township is required to hold its public meetings via remote access, such as by telephone conference call or video conference, we will provide further instruction to the community on when those meetings will occur and how to participate.

North Fayette Township is sensitive to the serious nature of COVID-19 and is following guidance from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in order to keep our employees, public officials, and citizens safe. The township will continue to monitor updates from CDC and other government agencies as they become available.
