Summer Camp Program

Township Building/Community Center Closures

Effective Friday, June 26, 2020, the North Fayette Township Building and Community Center were temporarily closed.  The Summer Camp program was suspended at that time.

The Township Building and the Community Center were temporarily closed as of June 26, 2020, due to the confirmed exposure of township personnel to COVID-19. At that time, we made the decision to close in order to perform deep cleaning and disinfection. The closure included all programs, fitness classes, summer camp, and rentals.

However, since then, and with the surge of COVID-19 cases in Allegheny county, we’ve made the decision to remain closed until deemed safe by county and state officials.

Our priority and goal are to provide clean and safe public spaces for our employees and residents.

Thank you for your understanding, and stay safe.

Summer Camp - General Information

The all-day Summer Camp program is offered for school-aged children in 1st through 8th grade (for the upcoming school year). Children must have completed kindergarten to participate in the all-day school-aged program.  Structured playtime, field trips, swimming days, and other excursions make this a popular summer experience for children.

Kits Camp is offered for 4 and 5-year olds on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 9 am to Noon.  Structured playtime and activities make this a popular summer experience for children.

The programs are well attended and enjoyed by many families in our community. The camp is based at the North Fayette Community Center and Donaldson Park.

After-School Program

After-school programming is offered at the North Fayette Community Center. West Allegheny School District provides bus transportation for elementary and middle school students to the Community Center. The program is offered Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. Additional days are offered to accommodate in-service days, snow days, and scheduled days off. Students must register and submit payment in advance for all programs.
