North Fayette Township Police Department

Welcome to our new website!
As your police department we continue to grow, evolve and change; to better meet your needs.
As we change, our mission remains the same: to provide our community with the highest quality of law enforcement service in a community-orientated structure. The core of community policing is getting you our residents fully involved.
Many of you have called expressing gratitude for the experiences and services provided by your police department. We thank you for your kind words and encouragement.
I encourage you to reach out to your officers as they visit your neighborhood; introduce yourself and engage your officers in conversation.
Over the past year we have all grown professionally. Officers have been trained in accident reconstruction, commercial vehicle inspection and child safety seat inspection and installation. Officers continue to receive additional training throughout the year. Additionally Lt. Michael Hamm recently graduated from the FBI National Academy. He is the first officer from our department to attend the National Academy since retired Chief Thomas Sturgeon did so in 1980!
We will continue to reach out and offer programs such as our well received “Refuse to Be a Victim” program. Corporal Michael Hayes will again be offering this program in the fall of this year. In May we hosted a ladies firearms familiarization, safety and shooting course. I must say; we all had a great time, the ladies who took the course and the officers volunteering as instructors. After shooting all calibers of handguns from .22 up to .45’s; including our .223 tactical rifles, there were some very big smiles on their faces.
As many of you know, construction projects continue to affect our travel routes and times. In early fall the two Penn DOT bridge replacements and shoulder projects will be completed. The 2012 road construction projects scheduled for our township will bring major traffic and travel headaches. The five point intersection reconstruction as well as the replacement of the two metal bridges along Cliff Mine Road will bring major inconveniences. As we encounter these inconveniences remember: the oxen are slow; but the earth is patient!
We will continue our pro-active and aggressive traffic enforcement program in an effort to ensure your safety as you travel throughout the township. The deployment of our mini radar trailer throughout our residential communities will continue; as you have requested.
In closing; as we work toward professional accreditation, your continued support and community involvement will assist us to achieve our goal of providing you with a professional law enforcement department.
I continue to welcome your personal calls and visits.
Professionally,
Chief Jeffrey J. Falconer
