In cooperation with PROJECT CHILD SAFE, the North Fayette Township Police Department is distributing FREE GUN LOCKS for any resident wishing them.  To obtain a free gun lock please stop at the Police Department dispatch center the center is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

The Police Department consists of 20 Police Officers, 5 Public Safety Dispatchers and a Police Secretary.  The Police Department provides general police services, staffs a full time detective for investigations, a School Resource Office that is assigned to the schools on a full time basis, performs comprehensive programs including D.A.R.E., safety and citizenship, harassment and anti-violence in the Elementary, Middle and High School levels of the West Allegheny School District, and conducts business and neighborhood watch programs.

The Police department houses a communications center for the call taking and dispatching of all emergency calls for Police, Fire, and Ambulance Services.  The communications center is an approved ring-down center through Allegheny County enhanced 9-1-1 system and is capable of receiving emergency call directly by dialing 724-693-8400 or from a ring-down system though Southwest Regional Dispatch by dialing 9-1-1.  Non emergency calls can also be received by dialing 412-787-8900.
