NORTH FAYETTE POLICE DEPARTMENT 9-1-1

CELLULAR TELEPHONE PROGRAM

The North Fayette Township Police Department is initiating an Emergency Cellular Telephone Program. Individuals in the Community are being asked to donate any working, deactivated cellular telephones, that they may have in their households, along with the batteries and chargers to the Police Department to be used in this program.

The North Fayette Township Police are requesting that those who have a phone to donate to this worthy cause drop it off at the North Fayette Township Police Department located at 400 North Branch Road, Oakdale, Pa 15071.

The deactivated cellular telephones have the capability of being used to dial 9-1-1 ONLY. They will not need to be reprogrammed or reactivated for this use.

Upon receiving the cellular telephones, batteries and chargers the North Fayette Township Police Department will test them, and when found to be in good working order will redistribute them to various community groups for use by senior citizens and domestic violence victims when in need of emergency services.

If you have any questions about the program, please contact Officer John Bates at (412) 787-8900.
