The Parks and Recreation Board, a nine member Board appointed by the Board of Supervisors, serves a five year staggered term. The Board is responsible for special event programs and activities in the Township. The Board meets at the Municipal Building on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. and the public is welcome to attend. There are currently no openings on the Board.

Special Events run by the Township Parks and Recreation Board include an Easter Egg Hunt, Community Days, Summer Movie Program and Light up Night all which are held at the Township Park located on North Branch Road.
North Fayette Township has one park with two picnic shelters, three lighted little league fields, one soccer field, two tennis courts, two lighted basketball courts, one batting cage, a sand volleyball court, horseshoe pits, two playground areas and sled riding hill. The Township community center houses a meeting room and gymnasium. The Township owns the Hankey Farms Pool, which includes a play area, picnic shelter and pool. Hankey Farms Fields includes two little league fields that are maintained by the township.

Community Center Rentals
Location: 8042 Steubenville Pike, Oakdale, PA 15071 North Fayette Township has available for rental, a meeting room and a gymnasium. These facilities are located in the same building as the Western Allegheny Community Library and the West Allegheny Food Pantry. They are available on a first come, first serve basis.
